A color negative film called Harman Griffin 200 has appeared in two retailers' catalogs, though Harman has announced nothing about it. The Swiss photo lab and shop fotomedia listed it in 35mm (36 exposures) and 120, each at CHF 14.00, marked out of stock with an unknown delivery time. Camera Warehouse, in Australia, lists the 120 roll at A$20.00, now marked "no longer available."
The two shops agree on the basics: ISO 200, C-41 processing, and, for the 120 roll, the same Harman product number. Their descriptions present it as a different kind of film from Harman's Phoenix line. The German copy at fotomedia calls Griffin the first mainstream color film for everyday use that Harman has made in Britain, set apart from the company's usual creative range, and says it is meant to close the gap between Harman's experimental films and the more conventional films of other makers. Camera Warehouse describes a new formulation with better color, contrast, sharpness, and scanning, more exposure latitude, and reduced halation.
