The Knokke's page now lists a price for the scanner— £799 including UK VAT — against a £200 deposit with shipping given as "beginning of December." That replaces both things missing back in September: the "£xxx Inc. VAT" placeholder and the request to join a waiting list for a launch that had already slipped past its promised first quarter. There is still no Kickstarter campaign on the page. The scanner is being sold directly from Soke Engineering's own site.

Soke originally gave the press a planned Kickstarter price of €999, rising to €1,599 after launch. A direct sale at £799 is priced in a different currency entirely, and whether that reflects a changed plan, a currency decision, or something else is not stated on the page.

A dedicated 35mm scanner built around a current sensor, rather than a flatbed or a mirrorless camera on a copy stand, has been wanted since the Coolscan line went out of production. After ten months there is some hope a replacement may eventually arrive.
